Expansion Comes From NarrownessJanuary 27, 2017
Hello everyone! I hope that your new year started out with a roaring BANG! This is my first post of 2017 and I’m so glad you are here to read it. Over the past few years, the tone of YSOP International would be set by a theme I would choose for that particular year. I would usually come up with these themes in November prior to the upcoming new year. Themes in the past such as, Take Action, Stop, Develop – Motivate – Inspire, would often reflect the direction my life would be going at that time. Once the theme was realized, I would say to myself…..why not just use this theme as a focus for the members of my organization YSOP.
As you can see from the image below, the theme for 2017 came to me as quote instead of just one word (writing quotes is like a hobby of mine). I will write a book of quotes and call it “Tips from Tim”. Anyways, this quote definitely describes where I’m about to go in life. Being that this theme will follow me and YSOP International throughout 2017, I will share much more about it as we face the victories, and challenges of this new year.
There are a lot of takeaways from the quote below. But for now, I would like us to take a moment and think about all of the negative things, people, places, thoughts, emotions, actions, habits, etc….. that have cost us so much of our time and energy, including the stress it adds to our lives. In other words, when you add up all of the distractions that takes us off course from what we SHOULD be doing or pursuing in life, it can be quite alarming to say the least. This is what 2017 is going to be about for me and YSOP.
Begin by asking yourself a few simple questions: What are the MOST important things in my life? What SHOULD I be focused on? What are the things that I have to take out of my life in order for my life to grow and expand? Those are just a few of the questions that we will have to answer throughout the year.
Nonetheless, I’m super excited to blog here every Friday and share my insights with you. This blog will also be used to highlight the many outstanding members of YSOP International.
